Informed Conservation Book Series
The project
The Informed Conservation series, published by Historic England highlights the special character of some of our most important historic areas and the development pressures they are facing.
The purpose of the series is to raise awareness and highlight the importance of the built heritage of localities undergoing rapid change or facing radical regeneration.
Our solution
To come up with a design that reflects the subject matter in an attractive format, encompassing Historic England’s style and branding and making the most of the many photographs in their archives.
Our approach is to be as sensitive to the subject matter as possible, pairing images as close to references as we can and ensuring there's a balanced flow throughout each book.
