Graphic Design Studio for Publishers and Premium Brands // Established 1975

Experienced design judgement, built over time

Hybert Design is a UK-based graphic design business, established in 1975.

//

We help publishers, marketers, charities, professional organisations and businesses create clear, well-made design across books, branding, packaging, websites, campaigns and marketing materials.

Our work is practical, carefully handled and grounded in experience. The kind that helps people understand things more clearly and makes projects easier to get right.

From typesetting to clearer communication

Hybert Design started as a phototypesetting studio in 1975. That history still matters.

It means we understand detail, hierarchy, readability, production and the practical realities of getting work approved, produced and used. Over time, that experience has grown across publishing, branding, packaging, web design, marketing campaigns and long-form communication.

The tools have changed. The need for clear, thoughtful design has not.

Design support for work that needs to be clear and well made

We work across:

// Publishing design: books, covers, interiors, series systems, catalogues, journals and marketing materials.

// Brand and identity: visual identities, brand refreshes, positioning support and communication systems.

// Packaging design: labels, ranges and packaging that need to work in the hand, on shelf and across sales materials.

// Marketing and campaign design: print and digital assets for launches, events, sales teams, email and social.

// Web and digital design: websites, landing pages and digital assets that support clearer communication.

// Reports and long-form documents: reports, white papers, guides and information-heavy documents where structure matters.

How we work

Calm, practical and direct

You will usually work directly with the people doing the thinking and the design. That keeps the process clear, efficient and grounded in the brief.

We can work from a tight specification, help shape a loose one, or support an in-house team that needs reliable extra capacity.

What clients tend to value is not noise or theatre. It is clear judgement, careful handling of detail and design that does its job properly.

What clients value

Reliable judgement

We bring long experience to the work, so we can spot problems early, suggest the right level of response and help keep projects moving.

Careful handling of content

Publishing, reports and marketing materials often involve detailed information, multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines. We are used to that.

Clear communication

We keep the process straightforward, with sensible updates, practical advice and no unnecessary agency theatre.

Production understanding

Our background in typesetting, print and publishing means we understand what happens after the design leaves the screen.

Flexible support

We can handle one-off projects, repeat design work or extra capacity for marketing, editorial and communications teams.
